    We've Changed Our Look

Updating the BSS web site to make it look more professional and adding additional information has been a priority for us. Adding the ability for the producers to sign in a secure site; extract reports and upload data to us (Execution Reports) was the major goal and undertaking. We believe that the producers will find this new site a welcome change.

  BB Tracer

Bankers Surety Services has been thinking about their producers and wanted to make it easier and affordable for them to track their bond work.

We named it BB Tracer, and it has come a long way since the start of development in April, 2005. We have provided this FREE application to over 54 of our producers. We have received some very favorable feedback and suggestions to enhance the program even more.

In an effort to assist our producers to track and report the bonds that they have issued we have developed a program which runs on Microsoft Access version 2000 or 2003. We are working toward moving this program to a VB.net version which can be housed on a secure server and can be accessed by a producer from any computer. We hope to have this completed by 3rd Quarter of 2007.

If you are you still tracking your bond work by paper; tired of trying to find information that may have been misfiled; want a better way to track the information without spending a lot of money; then BB Tracer just might be what you need.

The Forms portion gives the user the ability to add Power Inventory, Reassignment of Powers, Track Reports already submitted to the company and most of all process the powers. Within the Power Processing form there are many tabs for the user to input data they need to track, they are:

• Employer Info (clients’ and/or co-signers)

The Address Book gives the user the ability to store by Category the names of individuals and/or companies. The categories are controlled by the user. The user also has the ability to email or visit the web site of the addressee from the Address Book if they choose without leaving the program.

The next three menu items supply the user with many valuable reports. The reports are:

Calendar feature added to web site

We are trying hard to supply all of our producers with the tools needed to extract information that will assist them in their everyday business operations.

We have added a quarterly calendar to the Resource page of our web site which will show upcoming events which includes Continuing Education that is being put on so agents will be able to get their required credits for their license.

To check it out just go to the Resources page and select Industry Links and under the Associations is the Bail Association Calendar of Events and Continuing Education Classes.
